Ann is an Army Veteran and served two tours in Iraq.  She is responsible for the development and coordination of a comprehensive program of support services for veteran students at all three campuses of the university.  She also serves as the principal advocate for student veterans; ensures the quality of policies, programs, activities, and services designated to enhance their educational experiences; and also serves as the university's liaison with outside agencies and offices whose work impacts the lives of veteran students.  Ann received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the State University of New York, Purchase College and a Master of Arts in American History from the College of Staten Island, City University of New York.

Bryan Adams is an Army Veteran and currently serves as the Veteran Services Coordinator in the Rutgers University Office of Veteran and Military Programs and Services. In that capacity, Bryan is the main point-of-contact for veteran, military, and eligible family members in navigating services within Rutgers University as well as prospective students. Bryan graduated from Rutgers University in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Bryan is  an OIF II veteran.

Veteran Program Coordinator Kimberly Bruss, has spent the last 16 years of her career serving as a Veteran Benefits Advisor and advocate for New Jersey's veterans. Kimberly is responsible for planning events here at the University, oversees our VA Work Study students, and assists in the needs of our staff and most importantly, the needs of our veteran, military, and eligible family members.

Assistant Veteran Program Coordinator Justin Sasso is a 10-year Army Veteran who served 2 tours in OIF as a Blackhawk pilot.  He works with the Program Coordinator to manage the office, plan events, and oversee the Work Study Program.  He is also a corporate helicopter pilot, and a part-time Rutgers student majoring in Political Science.

VetSuccess On Campus Coordinator, Valerie Williams, is a 20+ year VA employee assigned as the on-site representative of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Valerie's role includes VA hospital referrals for our veteran students, Vocational counseling, and VA benefits research and overall assistance. 

Dennis Anthony Penny, Jr.

Rutgers University Certifying Official Dennis Anthony Penny Jr. is a Native of North Brunswick, New Jersey, Dennis is an 8 year navy veteran who served during The Operation Iraqi Freedom Campaign, attached to a Helicopter Support Combat Squadron. Some of his awards include, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Good Conduct Medal (1 star). National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Navy Marksmanship Medal (pistol) and (rifle).

Urszula Echols is a New Jersey Licensed Social Worker and has worked in higher education providing veteran friendly readjustment services to military veterans since 2007. As the Veteran Services Coordinator, Urszula is the main point of contact for veteran, military, and eligible family members in navigating services within Rutgers University, as well as prospective students. Urszula received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Social Work from University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

Office Manager Arcadio Matos, Jr was born in Morristown, New Jersey, and served 9 years in the US Army. He spent most of his career serving in the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade where he twice deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
