NJ State Military Medal Ceremony

Johnson and Johnson is teaming up with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and Rutgers Veterans House to hold a NJ State Military Medal Ceremony April 4, 2018.
The NJ Distinguished Service Medal is for honorably discharged Veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States who served in combat theater while on active duty during a time of war or National Emergency. They must be a current NJ resident or was a resident at the time of entry into military service or who has been a resident of this State for at least twenty years is aggregate.
The Meritorious Service Medal is for veterans who were not residents of NJ when they entered the military but who are current residents of NJ and have resided in the state for the previous 5 years.
The Vietnam Service Medal is for military service in the South East Asia Theater of Operations from 1960 to 1975 and received an honorable discharge.
Anyone interested in receiving their medal at J&J’s ceremony on April 4, must provide Veteran House the following documents and application by March 1, 2018.

- DD214 Member 4 Copy (Honorable Discharge)
- Proof of Residence (ie copy of utility bill, license)
Send a scanned copy to Kim Bruss of the above documents to kimberly.bruss@rutgers.eduor bring a physical copy in by March 1, 2018.
