The Office of Veteran and Military Programs and Services is committed to supporting our students and staff who are called to active duty service.

Students

If you are activated, please find a helpful checklist to assist in your transition from Rutgers to active duty.

The Military Leave, Academic Credit and Tuition Refunds - Undergraduate and Graduate Students policy can be found in Rutgers University Policy Library, Academic Section 10.

If you are considering withdrawing from classes, contact your academic advisor to discuss how a withdrawal may impact your benefits.

Faculty

Rutgers Military Leave, Academic Credit and Tuition Refunds - Undergraduate and Graduate Students policy provides faculty guidance as to options and responsibilities when working with students called to active military service. This policy is in accordance with New Jersey State Law N.J.S.A. 18A:62-4.2.

Staff

Rutgers University Human Resources provides a Managers Checklist to assist staff called to active duty. The Military Leave - Staff policy can also be found in the Rutgers University Policy Library Human Resources Section 60.
