Steps If You Are Activated

The Department of Defense is currently mobilizing to provide relief and aid to those impacted by the devastating effects of Tropical Storm Harvey on the Gulf Coast. The Office of Veteran and Military Programs and Services is committed to supporting our students and staff who are called to active duty service. The following resources are available to assist.

Students

The Office of Veteran an Military Programs and Services has developed a check list for students who are called to active duty. The Military Leave, Academic Credit and Tuition Refunds - Undergraduate and Graduate Students policy can be found in Rutgers University Policy Library, Academic Section 10. The student check list can be found here.

Faculty

Rutgers Military Leave, Academic Credit and Tuition Refunds - Undergraduate and Graduate Students policy provides faculty guidance as to options and responsibilities when working with students called to active military service. This policy is in accordance with New Jersey State Law N.J.S.A. 18A:62-4.2.

Staff

Rutgers University Human Resources provides a Mangers Checklist to assist staff called to active duty. The Military Leave - Staff policy can also be found in the Rutgers University Policy Library Human Resources Section 60.
